Postman's Park, near St Paul's. A tiny park honouring heroic deaths. What a beautiful location.

Despite working less than a mile away for the better part of 20 years, I used to walk through that park several times a week and never really gave it much thought until I completed a treasure trail (a kid-friendly online trail) around St. Paul's last summer. It was like discovering a whole new area, complete with Postman's Park. (Plus, it makes the kids walk miles without even realising it!)

The Tabard Pub in Chiswick is a great place to see more of William de Morgan's work while enjoying a drink if you visit the Watts Memorial in Postman's Park and are interested in learning more about the designer and creator of the amazing original tablets. The pub is decorated with de Morgan's tiles. Turnham Green tube station (District Line) is just around the corner.

I love it there, especially when it's quiet.
